The Story of NETIZEN

Netizen started its journey in 2013 as a partnership company in Uttara. At the beginning, the name was Netizen Software Solution. Later, it emerged as a private limited company in 2015. We chose to work in the domain of education which had been overlooked for a long time in regards to the advancement in information technology.

We realized that many IT companies had been working in other sectors keeping the rural academic institutes untapped. First, we researched many urban and rural academic institutes of various categories. We, then, developed an institute management software, Pencil. In this pilot project, we directly worked with 23 academic institutes of different categories, situated in urban and rural areas. The project saw the light of success in 2015.

Then, comes the biggest turn. In November 2015, 4 directors established a private limited company, Netizen IT Limited. The name of the software Pencil got changed to Eduman. The company took a magnificent initiative to make Eduman reach every corner of Bangladesh.

It was the decision to enter an innovative "Community Partnership Model". Now, our community partners are working in all 491 upazilas of the country to make institutes digital. And, till date, we have created employment for more than 1,000 community partners working around the country.

In October 2016, Netizen IT Limited partnered with Bijoy Digital for distributing Bijoy Digital Content (educational software for children). Now, more than 5,000 academic institutes are using our software across the country.
